Write a Letter to Help Save Feral Cats
The State of Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is on the verge of making a policy change that will eliminate trap/neuter/return (TNR) programs. The policy change will mean a return to the extermination of feral cats, even those who are neutered and cared for in managed colonies, and the prosecution of caregivers.

Many humane groups across Florida have been practicing TNR for years. Space Coast Feline Network has sterilized and cares for over 4,000 feral cats in Brevard County. Operation Catnip's clinic at the vet school at the University of Florida in Gainesville has sterilized over 12,000 feral cats.

Michele Jenkins, a volunteer with Space Coast Feline Network, urges: “Please write to Governor Jeb Bush and the wildlife commission in support of the feral cats and T/N/R programs. And please ask your friends to write too. Florida's many successful TNR programs, with dedicated volunteers and public support, must not be abolished.”
