Hello
My 11 year old shut zu has is losing weight. Until June he has been a little over weight at 24lbs ( he is a BIG) dog, since then he has lost 5lbs. The vet has checked his blood, stool, and given him a very detailed physical.
He is in great health?? they suggest we consider an ultrasound, i am not sure about this as these test stress him out BIG time.
I have even tried putting him back on puppy food.
any suggestions please
Ultrasound is not that stressful. I think you should consider doing the ultrasound. How much weight has the dog lost already?
