Thread: The sand cat

  1. #1

    The sand cat

I think we should have a very special section for the cute sand cat. I live in Canada and sand cats live in the desert but I do hope to see one some day. They live in Northern Africa and west, central, and South Asia. They are an endangered species as well
They get they water from their food and drink water when available. It digs for its main prey, herbals and similar rodents, as well as the odd snake or lizard. It excavates a den for shelter from the sun during the day. They have an average litter of 3 that grows very quickly and can become independent in just 6 months.

    Re: The sand cat

You are the first person to display interest in the sand cat, but having looked on the net I can see why they interest you so much. I don't think that we can justify a separate section for one type of cat, but please feel free to start new threads in the cat section, with photos and details. It will be fascinating.

I look forward to seeing your informative threads about the sand cat in the cat section of the forum!
