Has anyone nursed a cat through pancreatitis? My 13 year old diabetic cat stopped eating and drinking water almost a week ago and has been treated at a veterinary clinic. We are nursing him at home with anti-nausea and pain meds, but he is still not eating and drinking very little water. Does anyone have any advice or experience with this illness? Thanks for any advice you can offer!

We had a cat with a similar problem when I was a young man. It sounds like you have already done all the correct steps: taken to a vet, got diagnosis and treatment, received medications for home treatment, etc. The diabetes is a complicating factor. Thanks for your kind words and the link. It was reassuring to read that we are following all the medically sound treatment. I wish my cat took pills so willingly!
