    NZ bans cosmetic experiments of animals

    The EU banned cosmetic experiments in 2013. New Zealand has now joined the list of countries outside the EU which ban such experiments. See:

    It is also good to read that some NZ parliamentarians recognise that animals are "sentient" creatures equally capable of fear and suffering, just as we humans are. There is a glimpse of the debate here:

    I'm afraid it will be a very long time before the US makes that choice, if ever.
