RESOLVE contains three a quaternary ammonium compounds or quats (see question #6). Even in a wet environment, quats will bind with the surface of the skin, thus creating a persistent and residual affect not seen in alcohols, iodine or other skin disinfectants. It will therefore remain on the skin, attach itself to the cell wall of the bacteria and fungus, and kill it.
