Poem about a Canada goose and the "Circle of Life"-
Nothing but a pile of bones and feathers.
Lying forlornly on the pond bottom.
You have lived a long, happy life.
You are leaving this Earth.
Once, you were a fluffy gosling with yellow feathers.
You grew. You lost your fluff.
Maturity comes.
You became gray and black with the white stripe.
You had goslings of your own.
Then, they grew up and they had goslings of their own.
You grew old.
It is your time.
You are leaving for the Great Pond in the Sky.
As you float away, others are born.
They are born, they have offspring, they have offspring, and then they die.
Alas the circle of life.

Yes, the circle of life can be sad when beloved animals leave us to move on, but we will all meet up later with those we love, whether human or other animal. The separation is only temporary.

Poignant, but also a lovely poem. That's the way of things in this world...those just born, coming in to experience this Earth....those who need to return to Spirit-going home again.
