Did this the other day. I think the dog was very confused since I started off calmly saying "good boy" and ramped it up slowly.

Regarding the video, to tell the truth I found it bizarre and unnecessary to raise the pitch and volume to such an extreme degree. The dog obeyed you, but it must have been stressful for him to listen to such a loud, high-pitched voice in the latter part of the video.
It just goes to show that dogs are so amazing, and so ego-less, that they will do their best out of love and loyalty, no matter what they are asked to do. Humans can do very weird things and dogs will put up with it!Originally Posted by Kuli24

He is a very good boy. But maybe the phrase "Good boy" doesn't need to be screamed repeatedly at him so much like a mindless mantra? And that very special phrase for a dog could be used sparingly, with real meaning....I don't know....you have your own training methods I suppose. And although I never had to "break" my dog for any purpose -she simply wanted to obey because she loved me, and did exceedingly well -I can see he would do anything for you. Treasure that and honour it.
