    Talking Help With Hamsters

    Hi

I really want a hamster but need to convince my mum, her main concern is that my cat will get them, she is a 5 year old female tabby, my question is would this be a problem?

Also any advice or precautions for a new comer to the Hamster world would be great.

    Thanks

    Re: Help With Hamsters

It shouldn't be a problem, provided you don't take the hamster(s) out of the cage when the cat is in the room. For advice about keeping hamsters, I suggest that you look here: http://www.pethamsters.co.uk/Tips%20page.htm

    Re: Help With Hamsters

My aunt never had any incidents with her cats with hamsters when she had hamsters and those cats would go out and bring back dead birds and such so definitely knew how to hunt but just never went for the hammies so guess they just knew not to go near them.
