Dog Cancer is highly variable, its treatment depend upon the type of cancer involved and the location of the tumour. Better to consult a veterinary compounding specialist in its early stage.
Cancer is a devastating illness and all dog owners should be aware of the risks.
I found some useful information about the topic here: http://www.viovet.co.uk/blog/p132-Th..._Canine_Cancer

All this talk of religion, but it's how you live your life that is the all-important thing.
If you set out each day to do all the goodness and kindness that you can, and to do no harm to man or beast, then you are walking the highest path.
And when your time is up, if you can leave the earth a better place than you found it, then yours will have been a life well lived.

It makes us all wonder why canine cancers are on the increase, on a kind of parallel with human cancers right now. Moreso even than cancer affecting cats. If only we knew precisely what the actual CAUSE of cancer is. Why does the immune system suddenly refuse to do its job, or go haywire? People talk about 'carcinogens' in the environment or lifestyle, however the immune system can cope with many challenges very well. It is strange that in the 1940s and 1950s almost everyone smoked. It was not questioned. Doctors even prescribed cigarettes! Yet although cancer certainly did occur, it was not as prevalent and on the increase as it is now, for all our clean healthy lifestyles, and smoking bans.
But it seems the tipping-point is reached in both humans and dogs so it must be something quite overwhelming which is affecting both species.

I think stress has a lot to do with cancer. These days we have so much going on that our minds and bodies are stressed more than back in the 50's. Life needs to sloooow down :)
