    Stepped on ferret

I feel horrid my baby fuzzy likes to play inside my pants and usually i always pay attention. I was talking on the phone though and she ran under there and i stepped on her! She ran under my dresser and layed down.

She seems to be able to move fine but just wants to lay and sleep... she even refuses her favorite treats. I was debating taking her to the vet but my vet doesn't seem very compitant when it comes to my fuzzy.

Is a sleepy lazy ferret normal after being in a stressfull situation?

She's probably hurt, yeah. I can't tell you how much, though. She might just be mad at you. Maybe she needs some time to realize it was an accident and trust you again.

If you squeeze her a little around her back and tummy or wherever you stepped on her most and she gets defensive or shows distress or pain, then maybe a vet trip would be worth it. She could be bruised or worse, or maybe nothing more than the extended tenderness one feels when they get their hands or feet stepped on. Maybe just calling the vet and telling him/her what happened would beat taking your ferret in and getting charged, especially if it's not necessary.
