    Leg Fungus?

Hi everyone. WEll i got my horse Coda, some Professional Choice Sports Medicine Boots, and she's been wearing them fine. I make sure they're not tight.. and i never leave them on for more than one hour.
Well yesterday i am brushing her.. you know... her legs, and i notice on her back legs where the boots go, her hair is like, falling out in little clumps.. and its really really thin. Well im guessing its some sort of fungus does anyone have any idea what i should do? any at home (no vet) treatments i can use?[/b]

Well, I would definitely soak the boots in some bleach to get rid of whatever is on them. Is there anything visible on the skin?

clean the boots and make sure to wash her laegs very well. when we have fungus problem at our barn we recomend usinf tide w/ bleach, I know it sounds bad, but a little in bath water doesn't hurt. we had a chemist figure it out for us, and it will make your horses coat shinny!!!!!
