I have a blue Merle collie. Watch out with the cheap breeders. And research research research! You have to watch out because of inbreeding. This was unfortunatly done a lot when they were first brought to the US. Though I see you have Euro money there so it maybe different there.
Make sure you find a reputable breeder that does health testing. They are prone to blindness and hip displasia. (Just naming the major ones I can remember).
My collie is very good with children. Though her herding instinct is almost nill which is the result of substandard breeding.
But she's a wonderful companion and for those that are dedicated to the grooming I think their a perfect family pet. :D
Europes collie standard is a bit different from the US version.
