Older Dog Sleeping Very Soundly-Hard To Wake Up.

Hi, Our 11 year old German Shepherd in the last month has begun sleeping extremely soundly. In fact at this point we almost need to shake her to wake her. My first thought was hearing, however she often hears the slightest wrapper opening or even someone outside well before we do. I wouldn't say her hearing is great, but good for her age.

Any help explaining why our little girl is in such a deep sleep would be appreciated.

why the need to wake her up? older dogs just as older ppl do need more sleep. if your old lady is asleep in the day then just leave her be.
