your friends dog has pyometra. this is another very good reason why spay is such a good idea. i'm sorry for your friends girly, the only real way to deal with this is a spay depending on how far gone...

have you tried her on little bits of grilled chicken? just one tiny little cut up piece a day may help encourage her to nibble.
no dont force feed her. when my lot feel unwell they get scrambled eggs or brown rice. try to tempt her with little and often and make sure she keeps up her fluids.

as to your mums neighbour - tell him that lhasa apso actually have a life expectancy of 13 years.
i would echo rita on this - we really need to know what the vet said as any advice here could make things worse for her.

hi sophia and welcome to the boards :P i use fleece blankets also but i like to layer mine up so when its cold a thick fleece goes on and when its cool i put a cotton sheet on the fleece layers.

kizzy is a 4 year old spayed girly who was staying with her owners sister when she left the garden.
