    Re: pancreatitis

We had a cat with a similar problem when I was a young man. It sounds like you have already done all the correct steps: taken to a vet, got diagnosis and treatment, received medications for home...

    Re: Meet Forgy!

Yes, he learns fast. He knows (and can do):
sit, lie down, roll over, up, pirouette, stay, come, walk (he is very good at walking on two legs, as most poodle-type dogs are).

Thank you. Here he is in January this year, with two of Christmas presents: a dog bed (given my older son) and a dog-friendly teddy (given by a friend):

    Re: Overwhelmed by my goldfish

A very warm *Welcome* to the forum! I am not a fish expert, but wish you well with all the fish you are caring for now.

I had to smile at your use of inches and gallons, as they are almost unknown...
  7. Re: Helping animals abroad without putting myself at risk

The obvious suggestion, if you plan to be in regular contact with stray domestic animals in a third world country with rabies, is to get yourself vaccinated before you go. You may (or may not) get...

    Re: Please help!!!

I had to look up "weed wacking" on the net, as it seems to be an American expression. Now I understand your situation.

If the mother bird has not returned to look after her little ones, they will...

Re: Any expeireince with portosystemic shunts

I hope that you get some replies from people with experience of this particular condition. However, as you correctly state, each medical case is different and ultimately you must rely on the...
  13. Re: Please help! Neighbor attracted rats and they are spreading

Looks like you live in the USA, where this product is legally available. I share your concern if you have cats and chickens. The chickens (less likely your cats) could eat the poison, which is a...

Re: I rescued a cat in the rain

There is a helpful page here: https://www.petmd.com/cat/conditions/eyes/c_ct_red_eye

The cause could be very serious, but there are lots of possible causes, some more serious than others. Only a...

Re: What should I do about chicken eggs?

The best thing would be to solve this problem at source: stopping the chicken from eating her own eggs in the first place. The hen may be eating the eggs because she is deficient in minerals and...

  17. Re: Havanese lost 6 teeth at 7 years. Can anyone speculate why?

Giving a dog only soft, wet food can cause gum problems and teeth decay. The only way to remedy this is to clean the teeth. This can be done with a special dog toothpaste and dog toothbrush, which...

Re: Wild baby bunnies missing, Help!

Probably a carnivore bird of some kind got the baby rabbits. The best you can do is to be as vigilant as you can to protect those that are left.

Just one question: if your back garden is fenced,...
