An Inspired Weekend with the Trust Technique

Rate this Entry

You probably haven't heard about the Trust Technique as it is a relatively new form of therapy healing for animals, but I'm sure if you tried it you would be amazed. In June I was lucky to get the chance to learn it in the beautiful surroundings of Mane Chance Sanctuary in Surrey. The course if taught by James French who developed the system himself and now uses it on the horses, and any other animal his clients ask him to!

If you visit you will see a wonderful introductory video that explains it all, but I have written a detailed post on my own blog which you can find at Talking to Animals in the blog section

Whether you care for dogs, cats, horses or rats, the Trust Technique is a wonderful healing therapy that works on many levels. By relaxing the animal at its own pace we can not only gain its trust, but also go deeper and assist the animal in finding its own healing state. This can be particularly useful for animals that have been abused in the past. Gaining trust and helping to heal will go a long way to bringing the best out of your animal.

I was blown away by the workshop and have been practicing on my two lurchers. It definitely brings you closer to the animals in a spiritual sense, and since practicing on some friends horses I have had some interesting experiences, but that's for another blog post in the future!

Let me know what you think :)
