I am really positive that I want to start a career as an animal cruelty investigator, (which is really of an Animal Control Officer) but I am not really sure how to go about it. I have had a really hard time finding information about the topic too. Often people in this field need specific training and I am not really sure how to get going with this career. Information about who employs you, average income and job training requirements are hard to come by! Anybody have some info for me, or some websites? I have found a few scattered sites about salary statistics, and I am even going to take this Animal Control course with NACA, but I dont know where to go from there. Anyone? Here are a few sites I found that helped me so far, for anyone interested in this like me.

Just a little update for anyone curios, I recently attended some training from NACA in Nashville, and it is all you need if you want to do something in this field. It really covers all bases of animal control. I am really glad I got the opportuininty to check it out. If you are interested go to the NACA link I listed above. :D
