Hi, i have 2 quakers. I was told they where Both Femaled by the bad owner i got them from, but when i put a nestbox in they started tarring up newspaper, putting it in there with tissue, and cotton balls that they find around the house. Theyve settled in quite well, But does this nesting behavior mean that theyre male and female?

Thanks In Advance.

Quakers are the only parrots who build communal nests. They will put anything they can find in there nests, like you said paper and cotton balls. Quakers enjoy building nests and in the wild they can grow to be HUGE! Quaker males will build nests even if they don't have mate. There is no way, by looking a Quaker, to tell if it is male or female. The only way to be sure is to do a DNA test. :)
