Yo!
Hi. We live in Québec. We have a 7 year-old male lab-bouvier des flandres, 110 lbs. Vaccinated. Eats mostly solid dog food, a little canned stuff every day.
When he goes into the yard, he eats some long grass, not EVERY time but every few days, and throws up afterwards, once, seldom twice, usually yellow bile. But even the vet finds him in great shape. Could it be the canned stuff is a little too rich? Not many table scraps, and NO sweets.
Cheers from black fly country. Miss the snow.

Yup.
Some dogs just do this.
Note if he does it after eating? Or on an empty stomach?

Yo!
What fast response. I have seen occurences of both. Of course, on a full stomach, les bile to be observed, and always just one or two heave-to's....
I guess just enough to clear the grass.
Thank God kids didn't do this...........

Bonne journée!

One of my dogs eats grass every single day.
He is fine and healthy, but he garzes like a sheep.
He does not really throw up though, but your dogs stomach could be more sensitive. If the vet is not worried, I would not be either...
