Oh, David! What sad and upsetting news! Elephants are such noble and intelligent creatures - and to think they were poisoned just because in China (mostly) people think it will work as an aphrodisiac. Stopping the poachers is sadly difficult because of the massive land areas involved. One article - http://www.scmp.com/news/hong-kong/article/1224904/chinese-buyers-need-be-educated-ivory-trade-says-safari-expert - suggests that many Chinese people are being hoodwinked and told that the tusks have been discarded naturally. So massive publicity about poaching may help to deminish demand - although I must admit I don't have much hope on that score.

Roam free on astral plains, noble elephants! No poisonous poachers can harm you now.
