WOW these guys can get around... These orcas are from a pod off the west coast of the British Isles... As someone in New Mexico when I first started to read the headline I was thinking West Coast of the US, silly me.... Yet they are still quite a distance from their home. I wonder how many square miles in the ocean they call home?

You're right david! It's strange to think that this!
Although for Orca it is normal, I fell sorry for they!:(

Hello Elena! Welcome to Animal Forum!

A warm welcome from me, too, Elena! I look forward to reading your posts.

David, I believe that orcas travel up to 100 miles a day in search of food. Probably over-fishing by humans has caused them to look ever further afield.

Thank you very much David =)

And thanks to you too LPC! =) However, in my opinion, the orcas also travel due to the change of environment and climate, all that due to humans, obviously!

That's some serious travel! They might be changing their diet to Haggis lol.

And welcome Elena :)

Hi Toni, thanks!
ahahah, If the orcas could eat Haggis many problems would be resolved! =)
