View Full Version : 6 week old babies with lice

i just got my new fosters yesterday and unfortunetly they are infested with lice. its so nasty how bad they are. the rescue group gave me some lice shampoo and tubes of revolution for them and said to give them one bath and then the revolution and then they would be ready for adoption this weekend. but everything i've ever read on curing lice is a shampoo every 3 or 4 days for 4 weeks and then if you gong to use like revolution it'd be one week after the last bath.

am i right or are they right?? i'm gonna call my vet and ask him cause i trust him more than anyone else when it comes to animals (probly why i chose him to care for my pets huh? lol) i just wanted you guys advice too.

Two things I cannot stand are ticks and lice.

I had a young foster that was 4 weeks old. She had lice horribly. The first thing I did was call my vet to see if *I* would get lice from her. The answer, of course, was NO.

Because she was so young I opted not to use any insecticides on her.

She was washed in Dawn soap, and then later Ivory.

This is also some advice I followed:
