I read an article about giving pets raw food. It said a raw food diet was healthy and pets on this diet had less health problems. Any comments appreciated.

this would be the BARF diet which is bones and raw food.
although it is considered in the dog world by many as the best option you do need to make sure you have the right nutritional balance, your vet should be able to help with this.
i personally dont use this diet although as treats my dogs love carrots, apples, sprouts in fact most things except potatos i use a balanced dry food.

Beware, the starch in raw potatoes is very very unhealthy for your dog, never feed your dogs raw potatoes, or grapes or rasiens or any kind of chocolate, especially bakers chocolate.

There is GREAT controversy about this.
It is not a diet I recommend.
I would do a LOT of research before deciding to switch to a raw diet.
